Gifts are very important. Gifts can show how appreciative towards others and can make others feel special. Gifts' definition is something that is given to a person. In the short story, Gift of Maji, there is couple, named Jim and Della, that wants to secretly give each other gifts for Christmas, but they neither have enough money to pay for them. But in the end, they end up really don't care about gifts and care about the love they have for each other. We can learn that you don't have to give someone a gift to show appreciation. The most important gift to give is love. That might be cheesy, but it is true. Lots of people care about family and nothing else. People don't always need expensive gifts to get satisfied. People have gifts that are very important to them. Some can be very cheap or expensive or not priced at all. Also, there is gifts that are very meaningful. Like if you are Christian, you just received something Jesus-like, it will be something very meaningful and special. All in all, gifts are very important but they aren't always needed because if you already got what you need you don't have to get what you want.
There are many problem with youth sports. Some include getting injured at a very young age. The kids play year-round and use only one motion of their bodies, like their arm in baseball or their legs in soccer. Those kids also play the same sport year-round, so their body gets tired. Like their arms n baseball or their legs in soccer, they can have overuse limbs. Their limbs eventually get overused and their limb's tendon can get messed up. Some kids that play year-round don't eventually don't play in the big leagues because some times they get injured early on. A story about a boy that didn't make the basketball travel team all the years because the people that filled the rooster already made the team all the years prior made the high school team, too. But they all gave up on that life of balling. But the boy didn't and still balls today. We can solve these problems by making sure the players that play all year-round get a rest during a season. Also, try out another sport so they can use different parts of their bodies. This is my solution to the many said problems in youth sports. |
